We will help you throughout the Admissions process, from your application to your arrival. On top of that, there is no application fee when you apply with us. We'll also make sure you complete all the steps of application correctly and ensure you have the correct paperwork in place.
If you meet the entry requirements, you may apply to James Madison University directly instead of enrolling through the International Study Center.

UREC and University Park
The popular University Recreation Center (UREC) and University Park provide everything you need for fitness and fun, including a gym, swimming pool, climbing wall, yoga studio, and indoor and outdoor sports courts. Choose from a variety of sports to stay active and make new friends:

Student Success Center
The Center is home to 25 support facilities, including the University Health Center, the University Career Center, and six Learning Centers. Here, we will help you to overcome challenges you may face.
Things to Do
JMU students are all about engaging with the community.
- Explore Shenandoah Valley National Park with a hike through the woods and see beautiful waterfalls and views.
- Visit an amusement park. Kings Dominion is a 2-hour drive, Busch Gardens Williamsburg is 3 hours away, and there’s Virginia’s largest water park too - Water Country USA.
- Dance and sing along at one the many music festivals, including Rocktown, and Redwing Roots Music Festival.
